I find that even with payware sound sets, touchdown sounds aren't really that good. If you look at it, they don't seam special at all. However, this brings you straight to the action, it makes you feel the air in the tires compress on touchdown. In other touchdown sounds, it seems like the tire itself is made of metal (too much treble) but this really makes you feel like the tire is rubber filled with air. The sound itself is soft yet very bassy. I hope you like it!

Installation: (BACKUP YOUR FILES FIRST)
1. Find the folder of the sound set that contains the touchdown sound you're going to replace.
2. If you have enough skill, then you should already know which one is the touchdown sound. If you do know, then read A. If you don't, read B.

A.)
1. Rename touchdown.wav to the same name as the touchdown sound in your sound folder.
2. Copy/Cut the newly renamed file into the sound folder and confirm overwrite.

B.)
1. Open the sound.cfg file with NOTEPAD.
2. Press CTRL+F
3. Type: [CENTER_TOUCHDOWN] and click FIND.
4. Right under the highlighted text, you should see filename=**** (after filename= is the filename of what you're going to replace.
5. In the sound folder, look for the file with the same name as filename=****
6. Rename touchdown.wav to the same one as the one you're going to replace.
7. Copy/Cut the newly renamed file into the sound folder and confirm overwrite.
3. You're done! Fire up FS and do a few touchdowns.
4. Watch out for my soon to be released "Generic Airliner Ground Roll Sounds" and "Generic Airliner Flap Sounds" packages.

NOTE:
If your sound.cfg file pertains more than one touchdown sound i.e.

[CENTER_TOUCHDOWN]
filename=bmtouch5, bmtouch6, bmtouch7, bmtouch8
minimum_volume=10000

All you have to do is this:

[CENTER_TOUCHDOWN]
filename=touchdown
minimum_volume=10000

If you find this package unsuitable for you and you want to edit it for personal use, feel free. But if you're going to upload you're personally edited version of my file (either
individually or included in your package or sound set), please ask for my permission first.
